Juicy J will be the executive producer of ASAP Rocky‘s sophomore album. After a few false starts, it seems the album will finally come out this year. Back in March 2014, the rapper announced on social media that his album was coming. “SOPHOMORE ALBUM COMING ASAP,” the rapper tweeted. Late last year, the rapper sat down to do an interview with Highsnobiety. During the interview, the rapper discussed his plans for his 2015 studio album. “We’re really tryin’ to smash y’all muthaf***as in 2015, man. We’re really tryin’ to influence culture and give people a reason to listen to music and enjoy lifestyle,” Rocky told Highsnobiety. He added, “With this type of energy being invested into my music, the possibilities are endless. It’s like old times. I feel reckless again. Be ready.”

Last month, the rapper made an appearance at the Sundance Film Festival to promote his acting debut in the film Dope. During his time at Sundance, Rocky was dealing with the death of his friend and co-founder of ASAP MobSteven ‘ASAP Yams’ Rodriguez. Yams passed away on January 18th, and Rocky revealed to Billboard magazine that he was devastated by his friend’s death. Rocky revealed that he would eventually be alright, and time would heal his pain. The rapper also told Billboard magazine that his new album would be executive produced by Yams, and it would be the first time Yams executive produced his album. Since Juicy Jannounced he will produce Rocky’s new album, there is a possibility Yams and Juicy J will both be named as the producers.

ASAP Rocky will be heading to the BUKU Music + Art Project 2015 music festival in New Orleans on March 13th and 14th. The festival will also feature BassnectarTV on the RadioGhostface KillahDie AntwoordLil BPorter RobinsonRun the Jewels, and more. It was just announced yesterday that ASAP Rocky was added to the Wireless Festival 2015 lineup in the United Kingdom on July 3rd through July 5th. Mary J. Blige, Tinashe, Major Lazer, Pusha T, Rae Sremmurd, and Robin Schulz were also just added to the Wireless Festival artist lineup, too. The festival will take place in Finsbury Park, and it will be headlined by Drake, Avicii, Kendrick Lamar, David Guetta, and Nicki Minaj.
